Matt Briand is the embodiment of persistence and passion. A lifelong monster truck enthusiast, Matt spent years racing cars locally before discovering his true calling. After dedicating countless hours behind the scenes as a crew member—mastering the mechanics of the trucks and earning the respect of his team—he transitioned into the driver's seat of Train Wreck.

With a deep understanding of the machinery he helped build, Matt brings intensity, precision, and raw excitement to every performance. He is now a highly respected driver on the circuit, proving that dreams built in the pits can roar to life in the arena.

When not travelling across Canada performing for his fans, Matt enjoys downtime with his wife and children. True family man on and off the road. 

Dan Carey: The Original Driver of Train Wreck

Dan Carey was known as a fierce competitor in tuff truck competitions. Dan built his first monster truck and has since transitioned into a mentorship role. He now supports his team behind the scenes by building and maintaining their fleet. From time to time, Big Air Dan will get back into the driver's seat and wow the fans with his full-throttle action driving style. 

Dan &  Team Carey Motorsports now operate three race trucks, plus the family favorite monster truck ride truck, True North.
